Large grazing boards for a crowd, made in Perth

Our large grazing boards are handmade in Perth from Western Australian timber, including boards close to 90 cm long. They are thick enough to stay flat under a full spread of cheese, fruit and cured meats. We can also cut a board to a set size for your table.

What counts as a large grazing board?

Two boards we have photographed measure 60 × 46 × 3 cm and 88 × 33 × 3 cm. The first is wide and suits a spread in the middle of a table. The second is long and narrow, a good fit for the length of a bench or a buffet. We also make long two-tone boards with cut-out handles for carrying.

Why choose a timber board for grazing?

Timber is warm, so cheese and bread look good on it. It also does not slide about the way a slate or marble board can. A big board made from one slab has no joins to catch crumbs. For extra height, put a slab riser under a smaller board.

How do you order one?

Look through the boards at the Swan Settlers Markets on Saturday or Sunday, or enquire with your size and a date.

Questions people ask

Can you make a grazing board to fit my table?

Yes. Give us the length and width you have room for and the timber you like. We will tell you what the offcuts allow.

Is a thick board harder to look after?

No. A 3 cm board is more stable and is less likely to warp. It still needs oiling when it looks dry, as set out in the care guide.

Can I order matching boards for an event?

We make matching pairs and sets. Tell us how many you need and the date.
