Timber serving boards, handmade in Perth

Our timber serving boards are cut from Western Australian offcuts in Herne Hill, Perth. Each one is a one-off, with the natural edge, knots and figure left in. They suit cheese, bread, charcuterie and dinner-table service, and they are finished with food-safe oil and beeswax.

What makes a good timber serving board?

A good serving board is flat, smooth and heavy enough to stay put when someone reaches for the cheese. It should also look good on the table. Each board is shaped from an offcut, so the edges follow the tree rather than a template.

Some boards keep a bark edge or a knot. Others are cut as ovals that show the growth rings. Browse the gallery to see the range, or read how jarrah, marri and sheoak differ in colour and figure.

Which sizes should you expect?

Boards are cut to whatever the offcut allows, and we can make a set size on request. Two boards seen at the stall give an idea of the range.
